Weeeeerrrrrkkkkk…
It’s 2022 y’all! Ain’t nun but some werk!
Let’s develop:
Immunity.
The fight we have is not against things outside of us. The fight we have is to develop what’s inside of us. There have been plagues and pandemics before, and we are still here and growing. Before there were explanations for death, we knew life. Before we knew of all the sicknesses, we knew how to live.
The idea is a good one. Use the virus to develop stronger immune systems. Like lifting weights, growth comes in the recovery process. Like the food that grows from the ground, the creator had a plan for everything. The adversity of illness is used to make our immune systems stronger. This is a natural process. This was happening before the idea to inject the virus. The present virus would be detected and responded to by bodies designed to do just that.
During the pandemic, most of those who have severe reactions have an underlying health condition. So we have to ask if the virus is deadly or the habits we have? Do we make our bodies weak with the lack of care with giving it? Do the drugs we use as crutches make us weaker in the long run? Are we drinking enough water so that our bodies have what it is made mostly of? Are we eating the food that grows from the ground that we are made of? Because they are the food that does us good. Make sense for things, that come from where we are from, to be good to us. Am I blaming those who have died of negligence? No, can you blame the fruit when it is from the tree?
They didn’t know of the 2020 pandemic in 1918. Neither do we know the next illness. Let’s shift or focus from fighting against the outside illness, and turn our fight inside. Let the fight be to develop habits that build stronger immune systems. Like pop-up blockers on a computer, let us secure our immune system. Eating good food, drinking good water, and avoiding overconsumption.
More than eating good is taking responsibility. If we develop our immune systems by consuming good things, we will see illness as an opportunity rather than an inconvenience. Illness will be an opportunity to develop. An opportunity to put to Werk the security we pay for with our habits. An opportunity for us to see the strength we truly have.
“Fool me once shame on you…. If you fool me I won’t be fooled again.”
Sickness has come before. Those who have healthy habits do better than those with unhealthy ones. Therefore the sickness is a test. Adversity is an opportunity to test the preparation. How will we know if our security works without a test? But like the spelling test on Friday… if you are prepared for it then you need not worry. This test will not be the last. Let us prepare our habits so we are strong.
Control what you can. Watch the game film and see the areas that we were weak. Continue to develop areas of strength but find ways to improve the weakness.
“The team you play won’t matter if you are prepared.”
