Clean The House!

Remember being home and having a task to clean the house. Let’s say we start to clean,  then get bored or distracted then forget to clean.

Our parents come home and see the unfinished task. So they yell and verbally punish us. Then they say “I’m going to leave and it better not look like this when We get back”

Some will start to clean after the first warning. Some will ignore the warning.

When the parent returns they will have forgiveness in mind for the ones who cleaned. They will have wrath and a rod for those who ignored the warning.

The Father has given us a place and told us to clean it up. Our older brothers and sisters allowed it to become dirty though some obeyed and cleaned. The time after the warning, before the parents return, is grace. That is time, where the punishment deserved, is tamed for some time.

Even if the house is not completely clean, only parents know how to truly clean. We don’t want to be among them that didn’t try to obey.

The father gave us commands. He gave us a standard for how to clean ourselves and to clean each other. Love for the father is cleaning up ourselves so that we are worthy of his presence. Love for your neighbor is teaching them to be worthy of the father’s presence.

We don’t want to know what happens to the ones that don’t clean so promote disorder. But we have heard of the last days and the reward for those who don’t love God and don’t love their neighbors.

But better is possible, as soon as we decide that what we see is not sufficient. The wait is for us.
