Preparation Road

Werk FAM!! We are all on a road somewhere, let’s appreciate the “preparation road”!

The baby can’t walk at first… And look at us now. But let’s remember that road.

Before we walked we kept moving our legs. Even kicking in the mom sometimes. We didn’t know how to use our legs yet, we just knew we had legs. As we grew and developed, we started to see others use their legs to walk. We crawled to move, but we used the quad, glute, and hamstring muscles to do so. The step of crawling is important to developing the muscles needed to walk.

Maybe the crawling stage we are in or have been through was needed to build the strength needed to use our legs.

Before we build these strengths we fall. If people pick us up to walk before we are ready we fall. We fall until we are strong enough to stand. Then, after the Werk we put in crawling and building strength, we are able to walk.

The process we go through is what prepares us for the destination.

Often we overlook the process of preparation. Not that we can skip this part of the process, but we focus on the end goal. This can explain the frustration, anxiety, and lack of enthusiasm. This also can explain why some are fully prepared for the task and some are lacking in some areas. When we understand the purpose of our crawling stage we are excited about the growth we see. We use the time to make sure our foundation is solid.

Don’t look at crawling as not walking... see crawling as preparing to walk.

Don’t see the stage of preparation as not being at the goal, see it as preparing for the goal. Understand that our road is needed! Start to enjoy every step of the journey. The step we take in our mind as we crawl through stages. The step we take with the help of others. Then, finally, we can enjoy walking with no assistance.

Let’s be motivated for each step of the process. Let’s appreciate each step of the process. Let’s get the most out of Preparation Road.
